Drive from Kathmandu-Pokhara (6-7 hours)
After having breakfast, we will be moving towards pokhara by bus which will be only for tourist to commence our short Annapurna Base Camp trek. While travelling in tourist bus, you will explore more things from your eyes that brings more memories to collect.
Drive from Pokhara – Siwai (2.5hours) and trek to Chhomrong (5hours)
The first day of the short Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins in the picturesque lakeside town of Pokhara. After a hearty breakfast, we meet our driver and drive to a small village called Birethanti to get our trekking permits. We then drive a little further to reach the Siwai trail-head, about two hours total this morning. Everything is within walking distance from here and our trek begins in earnest as we cross picturesque suspension bridges, hike past shimmering waterfalls and cross alpine passes where yaks graze and Gurung villagers tend to cultivate beech and millet plantations. As you approach the destination Chhomrong, you even get stunning views of snow-capped mountains. Chhomrong itself is a sprawling hillside village where you will meet many friendly Gurung villagers as you settle in. We spend the night in a local camp or tea house. This is how you usually spend the night in Nepal, and you get home-cooked food and a warm place to sleep. After we check out, you can relax with a hot cup of tea in the village as dusk falls on the peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and the herring bone Machhapuchhure.
Trekking from Chhomrong to Himalaya (5hours)
Greet the morning sunrise with a delicious breakfast and a fresh cup of tea as the light floats over the mountains. After enjoying the amazing views, we start our second day of hiking. Today’s trail begins with stone steps that lead to the meandering waters of the Chhomrong Khola River for about an hour. We cross a dramatic suspension bridge to reach the opposite shore, before climbing stone stairs for another two hours. This takes us to the small community of Sinuwa, where we take a short break to admire the wonderful landscape from 2,350 meters above sea level. The second part of today’s walk takes us through a quiet forest of bamboo, oak and rhododendron for about two hours. The flatter landscape of the dense forest provides a brief respite before we begin the steep climb to the small villages known as Bamboo and Dovani. We pass through these communities and make the final ascent to the aptly named Himalayas. There we enjoyed a well-deserved hot meal and a good night’s sleep in one of the city’s best inns.
Trek starts from Himalaya to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) through Machhapuchhure Base Camp (MBC)
Today we earn the unique distinction of visiting not one but two mountaineering base camps. We will start the route immediately after breakfast, and a total walking time of about four hours is expected. This is perhaps the most exciting day of our Himalayan adventure and we begin with a two-hour climb to the amazing natural amphitheater of mountains known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Here we find the Machhapuchhure base camp at an altitude of 3,700 meters. From here you have a great view of Machhapuchhure, Gangapurna and the entire Annapurna range. After a short tea break, we continue along the dry moraine for another two hours and make the final push to the Annapurna base camp itself. The camp is located at an altitude of 4130 meters which represents the highest point of the entire Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The views here are absolutely sublime: prayer flags fluttering in the wind, climbers and hikers celebrating their achievements, and you are completely surrounded by mountains. The panoramic view from the base camp includes Machhapuchhure, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Gandharva Chuli and Gangapurna. But the star of the show is Annapurna I, which reaches an incredible height of 8,091 meters. We spend the rest of the day at the base camp admiring the scenery and spend the night in a nearby tent.
Trek from ABC – Himalaya (6-7 hours)
The trek from Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) to Himalaya is a captivating leg of the journey in the Annapurna region. Himalaya to Chhommrong (5-6 hours)

Chhomrong to Jhinu & Drive from near Jhinu to Pokhara (3-4 hours)
The trek from Chhomrong to Jhinu and the subsequent drive back to Pokhara marks the final stages of the Annapurna Base Camp trek. From Chhomrong, a charming Gurung village, the trail descends through lush forests and terraced fields, offering glimpses of the magnificent Annapurna peaks. As you make your way towards Jhinu, you can unwind and relax in the natural hot springs, a well-deserved treat for your tired muscles. After enjoying the therapeutic waters, the journey continues with a scenic drive back to Pokhara. The road winds through picturesque landscapes, with the Annapurna range lingering in the backdrop. Pokhara to Kathmandu
The return journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu after completing the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a mix of exhaustion and satisfaction.
